Design/Build Team

Design Build is a method of expedited project delivery as compared to the traditional form of design-bid-build. Both the design and construction are overseen by the general contractor. In this competition, students create a design build firm and are asked to create the (architectural) design, schedule, and cost of a building from scratch. Some of the past Design Build projects have been a parking lot for a hospital and an office building for a defense contractor.
